Theory and Modeling of Fluids Group

Welcome

The Theory and Modeling of Fluids Group performs theoretical and simulational research on the thermophysical properties of fluids and fluid mixtures, including regions of fluid-fluid and fluid-solid phase separation. The Group develops models and correlations of high accuracy to describe and predict the thermophysical properties of fluids and fluid mixtures. Finally, the Group also provides comprehensive and evaluated Standard Reference Data and electronic databases for the properties of technically important fluids and fluid mixtures.

In addition to the programs and projects listed below, the Theory and Modeling of Fluids Group is working in consort with the University of Colorado and the Division's Cryogenics Group on a DARPA funded project to develop a Microcooler for Terahertz Detectors.
