William P. Gottlieb's photographs are available online through both the Performing Arts Encyclopedia and the American Memory web sites. The Music Division holds the prints and handles reference work related to the collection, while the Prints and Photographs Division preserves the negatives and color transparencies.

Access: Subject to P&P policy on serving originals, which requires the use of digital images in lieu of the original negatives. The Library of Congress Music Division holds photographic prints.

Reproduction (photocopying, hand-held camera copying, photoduplication and other forms of copying allowed by "fair use"): Subject to P&P policy on copying, which prohibits service of the original negatives.
