    •  Ha! I knew it. Global cooling is the new scientific general consensus (based on real science, not faulty computer models). Arctic Icecap up 60% over last year (take that, polar bears!); Antarctica with record ice. Alaska coldest winters on record; Montana/North Dakota early heavy snow fall. New mini ice age coming. (BTW, the Russian scientists predicted this way back in 2006) You think that the imagined global warming was bad, wait until the mini ice age hits. The last one killed over 25% of the population of Europe and a similar number around the world; and, it took only 10 years to go from warm to freezing your butt off. Winterites, it's your day! http://dailycaller.com/2013/11/01/is-global-cooling-the-new-scientific-consensus/2/

    • Move your transportation to public transit. i made it from my house in Seattle to my sister's house in New Jersey all on public transit. Not a big feat when you do it a time or two. My car is a money eating dinosaur, parked in my driveway.

    • Since I am not going anywhere for the holidays, I don't expect to have any travel-related extra holiday footprint to offset. I am expected to offset my share of the turkey my sister and brother-in-law plan to share with me? They live in the same building as me, so there is no travel involved.
