Marilyn Quagliotti
Deputy Director of Supply Reduction 
Ms. Quagliotti was nominated by President Obama and confirmed on June 30th, 2011 by the U.S. Senate as the Deputy Director for Supply Reduction in the Office of National Drug Control Policy. Ms. Quagliotti provides executive leadership in the interagency and international environment to reduce the supply of illicit drugs in the United States. Her office develops and coordinates national policy and strategy of U.S. drug control programs and activities involved in achieving the supply reduction goals of the National Drug Control Strategy. Ms. Quagliotti’s roles include supporting cooperative interagency and international programs and efforts in the Andean region, Mexico, Central America, Afghanistan, and Central Asia. Ms. Quagliotti was also appointed as the United States Interdiction Coordinator, ensuring United States drug control agency interdiction assets are sufficient and their use is integrated with overall United States international counter-narcotics policy.
Prior to joining the Office of National Drug Control Policy, Ms Quagliotti served 32 years in the United States Army, rising to the rank of Major General. She was the first woman to attain the rank of General Officer in the Signal Corps and first woman to command a battalion in a combat division. As an Army officer, she served multiple tours throughout the continental United States, South Korea, Germany, and Panama. In Panama, she was the Brigade Commander, in command of a unit supporting interdiction efforts to stop the flow of illegal drugs into the United States.
Ms. Quagliotti is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and holds a M.S degree in National Security Strategy from the National War College and a B.S. degree from the Louisiana State University.
