More Audio, Video Resources at the Library
The Library of Congress is working towards making its Web materials and technology available and accessible to all. Beginning in 2010, webcasts from the Library feature captions. The Library has begun a program that will automate the process of captioning and transcribing new webcasts, as well as adding captions and transcripts to its more than 2,500 existing webcast presentations as resources permit. Historic webcasts will be captioned and transcribed based on popularity. RealPlayer is required to view the webcasts and captions. (For more information on RealPlayer, go to this page).

Errors in Captions or Transcripts
In order to make our webcasts accessible to the greatest number of people in the shortest time, we have made available unedited captioning and transcripts available as soon as possible. As a result, there may be errors in transcription. If you notice errors in captions or transcripts, please report them to the Library for correction by emailing the page in question to webcasts@loc.gov.
