About Warrant Levels

Warrant level issuance is based upon two primary factors:  Level of experience for the individual requesting the warrant and dollar value threshold.  In order to help streamline the review and approval process, please refer to the following information to help better determine which warrant level justification memorandum to submit.

Warrant Levels Certification Education* Experience
Level I Limited
Expenditures above the micro-purchase threshold ($3,000) up to the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of ($150,000) for open market purchase and for delivery or task orders against established contracts
FAC-C Level 1 Baccalaureate
OR
24 business related semester hours
1 year Progressive Work Experience
Level II Limited
Expenditures up to $5,000,000 for open market and against established contracts
FAC-C Level II or Level III Baccalaureate
OR
24 business related semester hours
2 years Progressive Work Experience
Level III Limited
Expenditures up to $100,000,000 for open market and against established contracts
FAC-C Level III Baccalaureate
AND
24 business related semester hours
4 years Progressive Work Experience
Level III Unlimited
Generally granted for national programs and nationwide acquisitions (National Acquisition Center (NAC), Acquisition Operations, Construction and Facilities Management (CFM))
FAC-C Level III Baccalaureate
AND
24 business related semester hours
6 years Progressive Work Experience
