Training Conferences and Meetings

The theme of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Chief Acquisition Officer’s 2011 National Acquisition Training Conference was “Delivering Business Solutions.”  This conference delivered the most up-to-date information needed for VA to meet the challenges of demonstrating fiscal responsibility and strengthening the acquisition workforce.  Among other topics, discussions included “myth-busting” as it relates to the way the VA does business with the vendor community, Town Hall meetings with the VA’s Heads of Contracting Activities (HCAs), managing an acquisition professional career, and VA professional networking.
