Being selected to participate in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl is an honor reserved for only the Nation’s most exceptional high school football players, as only the strongest wear the Army colors. As a U.S. Army All-American, these young men join the ranks of gridiron greats including Adrian Peterson, Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow, Andrew Luck, Marcus Lattimore, Robert Woods and many other college and NFL stars. These young Americans have earned their selection by displaying some of the very same characteristics found in every Army Strong Soldier, on and off the field.

Smith shows the ability to beat press coverage at the line of scrimmage and get downfield to become a dangerous outlet for his quarterback. He has a good understanding of how to use his big body to shield off linebackers and defensive backs. He also has soft hands. Smith also has a knack for going up in traffic, making tough catches and being tough to take down after the catch. As a junior, Smith shined, hauling in 43 passes for 764 yards and seven touchdowns.
