This fall, the White House will once again open its gardens and grounds to visitors from across the country, continuing First Lady Michelle Obama's commitment to opening up the White House.

About the White House Social Fall Garden Tour:

On Friday, October 19th, 2012 we’re inviting White House followers on Twitter, Facebook, and Google+ to join us at the White House for a tour of the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, Rose Garden, and the South Lawn, including the White House Kitchen Garden. To attend, guests must follow an official White House social media account on Twitter, Google+, or Facebook.

What is White House Social?

White House Social is an in-person meeting of people who engage with the White House through social media, including Twitter, Facebook, and Google+. Building off of the White House Tweetup series, White House Social is an opportunity for people that engage with the White House across several social platforms to get together and particpate in face-to-face meetings.

Past White House Tweetups have included a Twitter Town Hall with the President, a Tweetup Briefing with Press Secretary Jay Carney, a Let's Move! Tweetup for the First Lady's garden harvest, a Republic of Korea Arrival Ceremony Tweetup, a Holiday Open House Tweetup, a State of the Union Tweetup, and a United Kingdom Arrival Ceremony Tweetup. We also hosted the first-ever White House Google+ Photowalk during the Spring Garden Tours in April 2012.
