Since 2001, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl has showcased the nation's premier high school football talent. The level of play in these games has demanded the absolute highest levels of mental, emotional and physical strengths for those participating. The expansive and continually growing list of prominent alumni featured in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl's history stands as proof of this strength and the extraordinary level of competition. Some of the most notable All-American alumni include: Adrian Peterson, Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow, 2012 #1 NFL Draft Pick Andrew Luck, Marcus Lattimore and Robert Woods among many more.
As of the start of NFL training camps, there are more than 200 U.S. Army All-American Bowl alumni on NFL rosters. During the 2012 NFL Draft, 22 U.S. Army All-Americans were selected, including six first round selections. An incredible total of 51 U.S. Army All-Americans have been selected in the past two NFL Drafts. More and more U.S. Army All-Americans enter the NFL each season as the Army All-American Bowl continues to produce some of the game’s brightest stars on its biggest stage.

- Peterson was named the 2004 U.S. Army Player of the Year after an incredible senior season in which he rushed for 2,960 yards on 252 attempts, an 11.7 yards per carry average. He also added 32 touchdowns. As a junior, Peterson rushed for 2,051 yards and 22 touchdowns. Peterson starred in the 2004 U.S. Army All-American Bowl by rushing for 91 yards and two touchdowns on just nine carries.
College: University of Oklahoma
- As a freshman, Peterson rushed for 1,925 yards, a single-season record at Oklahoma. He finished as the runner-up for the Heisman Trophy, and was a consensus All-American selection. Peterson would be a three-time All-Big 12 selection during his career with the Sooners. He missed half of his final season with a collarbone injury, but by then he was already a superstar.
NFL: Minnesota Vikings, Selected in the 2007 NFL Draft, 1st Round, 7th Overall
- There’s little Peterson hasn’t done in his four-year career. He’s been named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year (2007), been to four Pro Bowls, been named to four All-Pro teams, won MVP and lead the league in rushing (2008) and set the NFL record for rushing yards in a single game (296). In his young career, Peterson has already amassed 5,782 yards and 52 touchdowns on the ground.
