High School: Timberline High School (WA)

-    Stewart ended his high school career as the state of Washington’s all-time leading rusher, and one of the premier football recruits in the country. He rushed for an incredible 7,755 yards and 95 touchdowns in his career, breaking the 1,000-yard plateau in each of his four years at Timberline, leading The Seattle Times to name him the state’s fifth greatest running back of all-time.

College: University of Oregon

-    Stewart was a Maxwell Award (best player) semifinalist in his last season at Oregon, and with good reason. He led the Pac-10 in rushing yards and all-purpose yards in 2007, and also tied the Oregon record with 11 100-yard rushing games in his college career. Stewart was a key part of Oregon’s potent offensive attack all year, posting a career-best 310 all-purpose yards against Stanford.

NFL: Carolina Panthers, Selected in the 2008 NFL Draft, 1st Round, 13th Overall

-    For the second consecutive season, Stewart teamed with DeAngelo Williams to form the NFC’s top backfield duo. Building off a rookie season in which he rushed for 836 yards and 10 touchdowns – both franchise rookie records – Stewart has pounded out 1,800 yards on the ground and 20 touchdowns during the past two years combined.
