The VA Building Utilization Review and Repurposing (BURR) initiative has identified one 4.4-acre parcel of underutilized land at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System, Fort Wayne Campus of the Veterans In Partnership Healthcare Network (VISN 11) in Fort Wayne, Indiana for a long-term ground lease. VA is soliciting qualified developers to submit proposals to finance, design, develop, construct, equip, furnish and maintain a new permanent supportive housing project for homeless Veterans and Veterans at risk of homelessness and their families, on a priority basis.
The VA Fort Wayne Campus has a 26-bed medical center providing acute medical and surgical services, as well as primary care, medical and surgical specialty care and mental health clinics. It also offers programs for the treatment of disorders such as, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Substance Abuse Treatment Program (SATP). The campus was constructed in 1947 through 1949. The targeted enhanced-use lease (EUL) site is located off Randallia Drive on the Fort Wayne, IN VAMC campus.
