Beyond 20/20 is about publishing multi-dimensional datasets on the web in an intuitive, self-training setting through an appropriate mix of data analysis, technology, and professional and hosting services. While the data analysis, technology, and services promoted by the company are equally applicable to the public and private sector, the company specializes in solutions for international, national, and regional public sector organizations.
Historically, publishing has meant paper. More recently it meant “PDF’s on the Web” or simple query-based web reporting. In the case of multi-dimensional datasets, these solutions have required publishers to anticipate stakeholders’ most likely questions and present reports that best answer them. Beyond 20/20’s publishing solutions do not have such requirements. Instead, the company recommends a highly disaggregated multi-dimensional dataset in an intuitive, ad hoc analysis and reporting environment that supports users “composing” a report that specifically answer their questions.
Originally organized to support CD publishing, Beyond 20/20 now focuses on web-based solutions addressing large (e.g. - transaction) or small (e.g. - summary) data sources with a combination of its own and industry standard technologies.
