Abstracts Sought for Preventive Medicine 2013
Preventive Medicine 2013 is the annual meeting of the American College of Preventive Medicine. It attracts physicians, health professionals, health care organizations, government agencies, and those committed to disease prevention and health promotion. Proposals for presentations on research, practice, training and policy activities are being accepted. The conference will present state-of-the art updates, innovations and new perspectives in the areas of population health practice, clinical preventive medicine and lifestyle medicine practice, technology and informatics and medical quality. Health Information Technology Call for Submissions
The journal Health Services Research and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology are partnering to publish a special issue on health information technology. The aim of this special issue is to provide health services research and policy audiences with an understanding of the progress in health IT that has been made under the Healthcare Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act of 2009 and to highlight research on health IT. Topics of special interest include building and strengthening the health IT infrastructure and exchange capabilities for sustainable health care quality and efficiency, translating short run health IT investments to measureable improvements in cost, quality and population health and developing innovative approaches to performance measurement, technology and care delivery to accelerate evidence generation for new approaches. Abstracts Sought for the Sixth Health Disparities Conference
The call for abstracts for podium and poster presentations has been released for the 2013 Sixth Health Disparities Conference. Abstracts should be scientific and/or informative and reflect the focus of the conference. The upcoming conference will focus on replicable multidisciplinary collaborative models and approaches from the clinical, research, and community arenas that integrate all levels of providers to improve health outcomes and eliminate health disparities. Selected abstracts will be presented during poster sessions or podium presentations during Concurrent Scientific Sessions. Topics can include disease process and disparities, health maintenance or prevention, social determinants of health, and policy. Abstract Submission Deadline: January 11, 2013. |
