ANg FD Banner

SPS video teaserThe vision for ANG Force Development (FD) is to create an ANG which is responsive to local, State, and Air Force requirements while simultaneously expanding our pool of future leaders. ANG must have credibility in Total Force forums which requires experienced and educated guardsmen who are on par with RegAF counterparts. It is necessary to open dialogue between members and supervisors to allow individuals to achieve their full potential while building a bench of highly qualified individuals who can serve in key leadership positions at the highest levels in the wing, JFHQ and DoD.

The goal for ANG FD is to prepare airmen for both current and future challenges through a deliberate and individualized development process conducive to the Citizen Airman schedule and inclusive of civilian experience.

tabANG Force Development CONOPS
The ANG FD CONOPS provides basic elements for each state to tailor and execute their own plan to offer their airmen educational and developmental opportunities.
tabMy Development Plan
The web-based career tool for total force Airmen, known as My Development Plan, gives individuals instant access to their records, career field information, and a consolidated career summary - all from one website. The site is interactive, so Airmen can map out jobs, education and training, into a career plan they will be able to share with their mentor in a secure, online environment.
tabMy State's Force Development Site
As described in the ANG FD CONOPS each state, territory, District of Columbia, and the Statutory Tour program should have a force development process. A good location to post information about local force development processes is each state's Air National Guard Unit website.
