The second quarter, fiscal 2012 winners of the Defense Logistics Agency's Military Quarterly Recognition Program are: Air Force Maj. Rayna Lowery, Navy Lt. Stephen Mannila, Air Force Master Sgt. Erica Buckner, and Air Force Tech Sgt. Shaneka Timmons.

DLA working to implement Plain Writing Act in day-to-day business

DLA employees are now required to communicate in a way the general public can understand with implementation of the Plain Writing Act of 2010. Public Law 111-274 calls for writing in government agencies that is clear, concise and well organized.

DLA Distribution San Joaquin, Calif., receives installation excellence award

The 2012 Commander in Chief’s Annual Award for Installation Excellence was presented to DLA Distribution San Joaquin, Calif., May 2 during a ceremony at the Pentagon. The Commander in Chief’s Award is the highest honor a military installation can receive.

The modified 747 jumbo jet that carried NASA’s space shuttle Discovery from Kennedy Space Center, Fla., to Washington Dulles International Airport, Va., April 17 was powered by fuel procured by DLA Energy's Areospace Energy business unit.

Air Force general selected for command of DLA Energy

The Defense Department has announced the selection of Air Force Brig. Gen. Giovanni Tuck as the next commander of Defense Logistics Agency Energy. Tuck currently serves as commander of 379th Air Expeditionary Wing, Air Combat Command, Southwest Asia.
