Upcoming DLA Culture Survey to measure employee satisfaction

DLA employees will soon be able to share their opinions about the agency through the 2012 DLA Culture Survey. Denison Consulting, the independent contractor administering the survey, will send employees an email invitation to take the survey May 29.

Family, friends remember DLA Human Resources noncommissioned officer

Family, friends and coworkers gathered to honor the memory of Army Master Sgt. Gregory Childs May 14. Permanently assigned to DLA Human Resources, Childs was serving on a temporary assignment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom when he died May 4.

Joint Reserve Force officer selected for promotion to brigadier general

Col. Michael Tuomey, commander of DLA’s Army Reserve Element, has been nominated for promotion to brigadier general. He is slated to be deputy commander for mobilization at Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, at Scott Air Force Base.

McNamara HQC employees compete in annual MWR golf tournament

Nearly 120 employees and guests of the McNamara Headquarters Complex braved threatening skies to enjoy a day out of the office May 9 at the HQC Golf Tournament on Fort Belvoir, Va.’s Woodlawn Golf Course. Several teams and individuals took home prizes.

The McNamara Headquarters Complex completed the first stage of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Challenge under the Voluntary Protection Program in April. Safety is everyone’s responsibility, and DLA leaders are looking for fresh ideas.
