PORT LOUIS, Mauritius — USS Ashland (LSD 48) arrived in port here on April 8. This is the first U.S. Navy ship visit to the Indian Ocean island this year. Ashland is visiting Mauritius as part of Commander, Task Force 363 Southeast Africa. CTF-363 belongs to U.S. Naval Forces Europe and is tasked with promoting maritime safety and security initiatives in the region.
