Mission and Vision
Mission
Naval Station Rota exists to support the Fleet, the War Fighter and the Family.
Specifically, we support Naval Forces Europe, U.S. SIXTH Fleet and combatant
Commanders' strategic priorities by providing mission ready airfield and port
facilities, force protection logistical and administrative support and emergency services to all the U.S. and NATO forces.
Vision
To continue as an enduring, strategically located naval installation which provides the
highest level of operations and logistical support to all the DoD components within or
transiting the European theater. Additionally, to be recognized as the installation within the DoD that provide the highest quality of life and quality of service for our service members, civilians and their families during their tour of duty. Naval Station Rota will
continue to be the finest military installation in which to work, live and develop both
personally and professionally.
Guiding Principles

Simply, we succeed fail as a team. Our service members, civilians and their families areall dedicated to mission success. ONE TEAM-ONE FIGHT!
LEADERSHIP- We are all leaders, and true LEADERSHIP is neither given with title
nor rank, but is earned. We have leaders at every level, from seaman recruit to captain,
military and civilian. Our people are leaders on the deckplates, in the field and within
the community. We all have something to contribute to the TEAM and do so every day.
And, as leaders, we can all be counted on not only to do the right thing right, but to
do the right things.
PRIDE- Our people are PROUD to be a part of TEAM ROTA! We are carrying on a
tradition that started almost six decades ago. The men and women who came before us worked hard to make Rota what it is today, and we continue to build on that proud history. We are empowered to show that we are proud to carry on the wonderful traditions of Naval Station Rota. We work hard to make Rota great for the future. Be PROUD of
