Stephanie Shughart, right, looks on as a plaque is dedicated in honor of her husband, Sgt. 1st Class Randall D. Shughart, who was killed during an operation to rescue a downed American helicopter crew in Somalia in 1993 and was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor. The newly constructed Randall David Shughart Elementary and Middle Schools located in Fort Bragg's Linden Oaks neighborhood was named in honor of Shughart during a ceremony Oct. 6, 2011.
