Represents not-for-profit organizations dedicated to providing high-quality health care, housing and services to the nation's elderly. Its membership consists of over 5,000 not-for-profit nursing homes, continuing care retirement communities, senior housing facilities, assisted living and community services.

The American Association of Homes for the Aging (AAHA) is the national nonprofit organization representing more than 4,500 not-for-profit nursing homes, continuing care retirement communities, senior housing facilities, and community service agencies for the elderly. AAHA is headquartered in Washington, DC, with regional offices in Albany, Orlando, Chicago, and Denver.

The premier professional organization of health care providers dedicated to improving the health and well-being of all older adults. With an active membership of more than 6,000 health care professionals, the AGS has a long history of effecting change in the provision of health care for older adults.

A foremost provider of professional information in the field of aging, through its Annual Meeting, Summer Series on Aging and other conferences held throughout the country. In recent years, membership constituent units have been developed in the areas of mental health and aging, older adult education, managed care and aging, business and aging, gay and lesbian aging issues, retirement planning, disability and rehabilitation and religion, spiritually and aging. ASA has encouraged the development of new products and technologies to assist older persons in the activities of daily living, produced a video educating the public to the need for "elder-friendly" neighborhoods and developed a CD-ROM training persons in late-life depression and suicide.

Dedicated to assisting senior citizens and their families with health-related legal issues.

Provides information, technical assistance and professional development to the nation's 57 State and Territorial Agencies on Aging, which are charged by the Older Americans Act and directed by the governors and state legislatures to advance the social and economic agenda of older persons in their respective states.

NCOA is an association of organizations and individuals dedicated to promoting the dignity, self-determination, well-being and continuing contributions of older persons through leadership and service, education, and advocacy. NCOA's members include professionals and volunteers, service providers, consumer and labor groups, businesses, government agencies, religious groups and voluntary organizations. NCOA accomplishes its mission through leadership, education and training, publications, research and development, community services, employment programs, coalition building public policy and advocacy efforts essential in our culturally diverse society.

The Older Women's League (OWL) is a national membership organization addressing the special concerns of midlife and older women. OWL works to provide mutual support for its members to achieve economic and social equity for its constituents, and to improve the image and status of older women. OWL bridges the gap between the women's groups and organizations representing aging to achieve these goals.
