  • ED Officials Experience Daily Life of a Principal

    Officials from the US Department of Education (ED) shadowed 40 principals in the Washington, DC, metro area last week, providing ED with a close-up look at the daily work of school leaders and offering principals the chance to discuss federal policy, programs, and resources. Secretary Arne Duncan then convened a discussion of all shadowing participants to identify areas where ED can provide greater support to principals. Read more about the shadowing visits.

    NASSP has declared October 2012 as National Principals Month in honor of the tireless work and dedication of principals across the country.
