Acceptable Use Policy
  1. YOU ARE ACCESSING A U.S. Government (USG) INFORMATION SYSTEM (IS) THAT IS PROVIDED FOR USG-AUTHORIZED USE ONLY.
  2. By using this IS (which includes any device attached to this IS), you consent to the following conditions:

    1. The USG routinely intercepts and monitors communications occurring on this IS for purposes including, but not limited to, penetration testing, COMSEC monitoring, network operations and defense, personnel misconduct (PM), law enforcement (LE), and counterintelligence (CI) investigations.
    2. At any time, the USG may inspect and seize data stored on this IS.
    3. Communications using, or data stored on, this IS are not private, are subject to routine monitoring, interception, and search, and may be disclosed or used for any USG authorized purpose.
    4. This IS includes security measures (e.g., authentication and access controls) to protect USG interests--not for your personal benefit or privacy.
    5. Notwithstanding the above, using this IS does not constitute consent to PM, LE or CI investigative searching or monitoring of the content of privileged communications, or work product, related to personal representation or services by attorneys, psychotherapists, or clergy, and their assistants. Such communications and work product are private and confidential. See User Agreement for details.

  3. Understanding. I understand that I have the primary responsibility to safeguard the information contained in the CAMP environment from unauthorized or inadvertent modification, disclosure, destruction, denial of service and use.
  4. Access. Access to the CAMP environment is for official use and authorized purposes and as set forth in DoD 5500.7-R, “Joint Ethics Regulation” or as further limited by this policy.
  5. Revocability. Access to the CAMP environment is a revocable privilege and is subject to content monitoring and security testing.
  6. Information processing. The CAMP environment is approved to process information considered as Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) and handled and protected as For Official Use Only (FOUO).
  7. Minimum security rules and requirements. As an CAMP user, the following minimum security rules and requirements apply:

    1. I will generate, store and protect passwords, pins and pass-phases. Passwords will be in keeping with Army Regulation AR25-2 with number of characters, uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and special characters. I am the only authorized user of this account. (I will not use my userid, common names, birthdays, phone numbers, military acronyms, call signs or dictionary words as passwords or pass-phrases.)
    2. I will use virus-checking procedures before uploading information into CAMP.
    3. I will not utilize CAMP for commercial financial gain or illegal activities.
    4. I will immediately report any suspicious output, files, shortcuts or system problems to the USAASC ACM Help Desk (https://rda.altess.army.mil/camp/index.cfm?fuseaction=support.helpRequest) and cease all activities on the system.
    5. I will address any questions regarding policy, responsibilities and duties to the USAASC ACM Help Desk (https://rda.altess.army.mil/camp/index.cfm?fuseaction=support.helpRequest).
    6. I understand that CAMP is the property of the Army and is provided to me for official and authorized uses. I further understand that CAMP is subject to monitoring for security purposes and for purposes of ensuring authorized usage. I understand that I do not have a recognized expectation of privacy in official data on the IS and may have only a limited expectation of privacy in personal data on CAMP . I realize that I should not store data on CAMP that I do not want others to see.
    7. I understand that monitoring of CAMP will be conducted for various purposes and information captured during monitoring may be used for administrative or disciplinary actions or criminal prosecution. I understand that the following activities define unacceptable uses of CAMP:

      • Use for personal commercial gain or illegal activity (for example, the sharing of copyright material)
      • Use in any manner that interferes with official duties, undermines readiness, reflect adversely on the Army or violate standards of ethical conduct.
      • Intentionally send, store, or propagate sexually explicit, threatening, harassing, political or unofficial public activity communications.
      • Participate in on-line gambling or other activities inconsistent with public service.
      • Release, disclose or alter information without the consent of the data owner, the original classification authority (OCA) as defined by AR 380-5, the individual’s supervisory chain of command, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) official, Public Affairs Office or disclosure officer’s approval.
      • Attempt to strain, test, circumvent, bypass security mechanisms or perform network or keystroke monitoring.
      • Modify the system equipment or software, use it in any manner other than its intended purpose, introduce malicious software or code or add user-configurable or unauthorized software (for example, instant messaging, peer-to-peer applications).
      • Disable or remove security or protective software or mechanisms and their associated logs.

  8. Acknowledgement. By clicking "I understand and accept" shall indicate acknowledgement and acceptance of this policy.
