Arctic air will continue to impact western and central North Dakota Tuesday and Tuesday night. Highs in the single digits above and below zero are forecast for most areas Tuesday with morning wind chills of -25 to -40. Bitter cold is forecast Tuesday night, especially for central North Dakota, with lows in the teens below zero. Breezy southeast winds may make wind chills to -40 possible once again Tuesday night into Wednesday morning across much of the area. The next storm system may impact western and central North Dakota Wednesday night into Friday. Light to moderate snowfall accumulations are possible. However, light winds are forecast with little blowing snow expected at this time.
