The first Pacific storm of the season is expected to generate gusty winds across the area through Tuesday. The strongest winds will occur starting late Monday morning and continue through Tuesday morning. While all areas will see windy conditions, the Sierra and Owens Valley are under a High Wind Watch with gusts expected to be between 60 and 70 mph. The areas shaded brown on the map are under a Wind Advisory and are most likely to see wind gusts between 40 and 50 mph. Impacts: Crosswinds may create dangerous driving conditions especially for high profile vehicles, localized areas of blowing dust and sand could lower visibility, especially down wind of dry lake beds, loose outdoor objects may be blown around, and boaters on the area lakes need to use caution.
