Unidata Community Interaction Unidata Community Interaction
Unidata is a diverse community of education and research institutions vested in the common goal of sharing data, tools to access the data, and software to analyze and visualize the data. Governing committees provide guidance and peer leadership. Successful cooperative endeavors have been launched through Unidata and its member institutions to enrich the geosciences community.
Community News & Announcements
  • The next Training Workshop for Unidata software will take place in the fall of 2010. To accommodate differing schedules, we alternate workshop times from mid- to late summer, to mid- to late fall. Software training workshops focus on Unidata's data management, display, and analysis tools. The training workshops are developed and presented by the software developers and support staff for each package. The analysis and display packages are McIDAS, GEMPAK, and IDV. The data access and management tools are the Local Data Manager (LDM), the network Common Data Form (netCDF), and THREDDS software for cataloging, browsing, and accessing remote data and metadata.
  • See the Events Calendar for upcoming workshops and seminars.
