We have received a large number of subscription requests from organizations and individuals over the past year.

Although the Soldiers magazine team would love to send a copy of each monthly issue to every person in the Army Family, it is simply not possible.

While the staff of seven gathers and provides all the content, and designs the magazine in-house, we do not distribute or print it. We receive only a fraction of the total distribution each month, and from those, we must maintain archives. We also keep a portion of the shipment to fill special requests and distribute to a select group of VIPs.

Unfortunately, we do not have the manpower or number of magazines at our disposal to distribute to a large number of individuals or organizations on a regular basis.

Each month, directions for obtaining either an individual or organizational subscription appear on page two of Soldiers.

Individual subscriptions can be purchased through the Superintendent of Documents, U.S. Government Printing Office, Washington, D.C. 20402. Readers interested in purchasing an individual subscription can visit http://bookstore.gpo.gov/collections/subscriptions/index.jsp.
Individual subscriptions include non-government organizations as well. An annual subscription is $46, while a single copy is $7.

Military organizations, commanders and publications officers can order Soldiers through the Army Publishing Directorate at https://dol.hqda.pentagon.mil/ptclick/index.aspx (requires CAC authentication or AKO access). To start or change unit subscriptions, enter the Initial Distribution Number 050007.

We are happy to accommodate special, one-time requests for an issue, and maintain a small number of issues dating back one year.

From everyone at Soldiers to all our readers, thank you.

Sincerely,
Carrie L. McLeroy
Editor in chief
