Sgt. 1st Class Jonathon Magee, the activities coordinator for Fort Hood's Warrior Transition Brigade, and Bill Adams of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) share a moment of laughter after Magee presents a mounted hybrid striper to Adams following a recent PHWFF trip. Magee nabbed the 12-pound catch moments after throwing his fly rod in the waters of Lake Texoma during a recent PHWFF trip. It was the first time he had ever fished. Adams is the PHWFF volunteer coordinator for the Fort Hood area and teaches bi-weekly Soldiers and disabled veterans how to tie flies they will later use on PHWFF-sponsored fly fishing trips. PHWFF is a nonprofit organization that dedicates its resources to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled servicemembers and veterans through the sport of fly fishing.
