South Region

The South Region includes Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas (excluding the El Paso area) and Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

South Region Contractor
The South Region contractor is Humana Military, a division of Humana Government Business. Humana Military establishes the TRICARE provider network in the South Region and provides the following services to you:

• Operates TRICARE Service Centers throughout the South Region
• Operates toll-free customer service call centers and automated health lines
• Manages administrative actions such as enrollment, care authorization and claims processing for
  • TRICARE Prime
  • TRICARE Prime Remote
  • TRICARE Standard and Extra
  • TRICARE Reserve Select
  • TRICARE Retired Reserve
  • TRICARE Young Adult
• Distributes marketing and educational materials about TRICARE

Humana Military does not provide customer service or support for TRICARE For Life, the US Family Health Plan or for pharmacy or dental benefits. Humana Military works closely with the TRICARE Regional Office-South (TRO-South) to manage the TRICARE benefit at the local level.
