McDonald's Big Bass Splash Tournament Possibly the largest amateur freshwater fishing tournament in the US, the McDonald's tournament routinely draws over 3,000 contestants during three days of competition. As many as 6,000 contestants have participated in past years. Cash and awards are given to hourly and daily big bass winners, boats are awarded to contestants with fish weighing exactly 2.00 and 3.00 pounds, and the overall winner takes home packages of boats, vehicles, and other outdoor gear, as well as cash. |

This event promotes environmental beautification and restoration by picking up litter along shorelines; underwater cleanup of beaches and boat ramps conducted by volunteer divers; planting of flowers, trees and shrubs; as well as the extension and maintenance of a hiking trail. The event is held annually and is the second Saturday in September from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. |

C.A.S.T. for Kids C.A.S.T. for Kids is an event that gives children with special needs an opportunity to experience fishing with their own personal guide. They are also provided all necessary fishing gear for the outing. Lunch was served to all participants. Prizes and participation certificates were awarded. C.A.S.T. stands for Catch a Special Thrill and the event is held in conjunction with the CAST for Kids Foundation, the Stockton Lions Club and the Stockton Lake US Army Corps of Engineers. |
