Planning and Implementation Application Forms

In addition to submitting a full application through Grants.gov, Planning and Implementation applicants are required to complete the following forms:

Applicant Eligibility Checklist (required)
This is a required eligibility checklist that must be submitted by all eligible applicants applying for the planning or implementation grants. This checklist may be found in the application package.

Abstract Narrative Form (required)
The abstract narrative form replaces the standard ED Abstract Form. The web-based version will allow ED staff to compile the applicant’s information quickly and more effectively. Project abstracts will be posted on data.ed.gov. Applicants must complete and submit this information with each application submitted. The Abstract Narrative Form is located at http://www2.ed.gov/programs/promiseneighborhoods/2011/abstract-form.pdf. Applicants must fill out this form electronically, “Save As” a .PDF, and upload the generated .PDF with the grant application as the Abstract Narrative Form.

Application Checklist (optional)
This is an optional checklist that applicants may use to ensure that all required items for the application are completed and submitted to the Department for review.

Application Packages

Please note that the Promise Neighborhood Application Packages are for applicants to download and use as guides only. Unless the applicant qualifies for an exception to the electronic submission requirement, all Promise Neighborhoods grant applications must be submitted electronically via Grants.gov.
