JCOC in Djibouti, Africa
U.S. Marine aircrew members stand outside their MH-53 helicopter after dropping off participants of the Joint Civilian Orientation Conference 72 at Tadjoura, Djibouti, Oct. 21, 2006. The JCOC participants toured a U.S. Navy Seabee constructions site at a local secondary school, toured a local hospital, and handed out school supplies and soccer balls to the children of the community. JCOC is a seven day conference in which civilian community leaders travel to overseas military bases to get a better understanding of our Armed Forces and the overall mission of the Department of Defense.

Marine Corps Museum
The original American flag raised on Mount Suribachi, Iwo Jima, during World War II is installed in its new home at the National Museum of the Marine Corps Quantico, Va, Oct. 13, 2006. The museum is due to open on the Marine Corps birthday this year, Nov. 10.
