Military Officials Provide Aid to Missouri Flood Victims

U.S. Soldiers Participate in a Joint Forcible Entry Exercise
U.S. Army paratroopers prepare to practice jumping techniques during a joint forcible entry exercise on Pope Air Force Base, N.C., June 21, 2010. The soldiers are assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division. The weeklong exercise is conducted six times a year by soldiers from Fort Bragg and airmen on Pope AFB. It is designed to enhance cohesion between the Army and Air Force through large-scale heavy equipment and troop movements.

Camp Atterbury: Troops Train for Deployment
Soldiers of the 438th Chemical Company, 81st Troop Command, Indiana Army National Guard, conduct a road march at Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center, Ind., June 14, 2010. The camp serves as the home base for members of the Army National Guard and Army Reserves, Marine Corps, and other units that train and mobilize there. The camp offers unit commanders the support required to function as a complete unit for mission training. Camp personnel, along with their partner units, the 205th and 189th Infantry Brigades, have mobilized over 50,000 and demobilized over 30,000 soldiers, sailors, and airmen for duty in the United States and overseas.
