Reserve Support Unit/Deployment Processing Command

Camp Pendleton

Camp Pendleton, CA
Directions to Camp Talega

Getting to the Deployment Processing Command at Camp Talega can be done from the I-5 North or South using one of the following two routes, depending on whether or not you have a DoD decal on your vehicle:

Vehicle does have a DoD decal (Starting point "A" on the map):

Take the Cristianitos Road exit, just south of San Clemente.
Turn East (towards the mountains) onto Cristianitos Road.
Follow Cristianitos Road all the way to the Base Gate (be aware of 25 MPH speed limit prior to coming to the gate).
At the gate, inform the MP that you are reporting to the 64 Area for Mobilization Processing (present your orders to the guard if you have them)
Immediately after passing through the gate, follow the curve left to the stop sign in front of the gas station and make a left.

Vehicle does not have a DoD decal (Starting point "B" on the map):

If you do not have a DoD sticker, you must enter through the San Onofre Gate and travel east on Basilone until you get to the 'Y' intersection of Basilone and Mateo Roads across from the 52 Area Fire Station.
Make a left on Mateo Road and follow it through the canyon pass.
You will see Camp Mateo on the left immediately after going through the pass.
Continue driving west until the road curves to the right near the Christianitos Gate.

Upon reaching the 62 Area Gas station follow this road (approximately 2 miles) to Talega Castle Gates into the 64 Area and report to Building 64434 or Duty Office, Building 64321, afterhours.

Transportation Information:

From the San Diego Airport (Lindbergh Field), proceed to the USO Station outside of Terminal Two. Board and take the shuttle to the 64 Area (ensure that you do not board the shuttle going to the JRC at Mainside). If arriving at other airports, please call the DPC/RSU at (760) 763-4965 during working hours or (760) 725-7995 after hours for instructions.
