SFC Byers is a 2008 and 2012 Olympian who competes in the 120-kilogram/ 264.5-pound weight class. Byers is a 10-time U.S. National Champion, and is the only American wrestler to achieve the status of World Champion and World Military Champion.

With a love for swimming, SPC Bowsher began dreaming of becoming an Olympian at an early age. After high school, he was approached by a modern Pentathlon coach who witnessed his swimming skills and convinced him to try out for the U.S. Modern Pentathlon Team.

SGT Mango is a 2008 and 2012 Olympian who competes in the 55-kilogram/ 121-pound weight class. He is a four-time U.S. National Champion and has been named to numerous U.S. World Teams. His most recent achievement was winning at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials.

Event: Double Trap

SGT Eller began shooting at the age of eight and has numerous marksmanship accomplishments. He was a U.S. Olympic team member in 2000, 2004 and 2008. He was named USA Shooting’s Athlete of the Year in 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2008. He is a five-time World Cup and National champion. He won the 2007 World Cup Final, as well as the 2003 Men’s Double Trap World Championship. In 2009 he was named as the Military Marksmanship Association Soldier of the Year.

SGT Hancock began shooting as a young child and started competing when he was 11 years old. He has won World Cup events in 2005, 2006, and 2008; was named USA Shooting Shotgun Shooter of the Year in 2007 and USA Shooting Shooter of the Year in 2006; won the World Championship in Men’s Skeet in 2005. He is the current Olympic and National Champion in Men’s Skeet and owns every World Record possible in the sport.

SFC Sanderson is a two-time U.S. Olympic Team member and has been on numerous U.S. World Teams He started his military career as a United States Marine before deciding to enlist in the United States Army Reserves. He initially wanted to teach marksmanship while training for the 2008 Olympic Trials but has accomplished much more by proving that he is one if the most elite shooters the U.S. has to offer.

Event: Race Walk

SGT Nunn competed in the 2004 Olympics and won the 50-kilometer race at the 2012 Olympic Trials to earn a spot on Team USA for the London Olympic Games. He will attempt to double in the 20-kilometer race walk. SGT Nunn is a five-time U.S. National silver medalist and has qualified for seven U.S. World Teams.

SFC Szarenski is a four-time U.S. Olympic Team member and has been on numerous U.S. World Teams. He studied industrial technology on a rifle grant-in-aid at Tennessee Tech University, where he was a member of both the pistol and rifle teams.

SFC Eric Uptagrafft Olympics 2012

SFC Uptagrafft joined the Army Reserves in 1983. After becoming an infantryman in 1987, he was a member of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit Service Rifle Team until 1991.  He then shot on the U.S. Army Reserve Shooting Team until he was assigned to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit in August 1998 under the Army’s World Class Athlete Program. He left the Army and joined the U.S. Navy Reserves as a lieutenant where he deployed with the 3rd Army to Kuwait in 2007.  He rejoined the Army and the USAMU International Rifle Team April 23, 2008. SFC Uptagrafft deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in June of 2011.

SSG Richmond began shooting in 1997. He recently won a gold medal in Men’s Double Trap at the 2010 World Championships and the 2010 World Cup, Acapulco, Mexico. In 2009, he won gold medals in Men’s Double Trap at the USA Shooting National Championships and at the World Cup, Munich. SSG Richmond was named the 2009 USA Shooting Shotgun Shooter of the Year. In 2008, Richmond was an Olympic team alternate in Men’s Double Trap. He has also won the Men’s Double Trap national championship in 2005 and 2007.

SSG McPhail enlisted in the U.S. Army Aug. 16, 2004.  After he completed Basic and Infantry Training at Fort Benning, he was assigned to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit Jan. 3, 2005. McPhail started shooting in 1996 and was a member of his college team. He has numerous shooting accomplishments which includes being a two-time Team Gold Medal winner at the World Championships and winning the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trial match.

Event: Men's 3-Position Rifle

SFC Parker enlisted in the Army in January 1997.  After he completed Basic and Infantry Training, he was assigned to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit in April 1997. SFC Parker, who started shooting in 1988 and will now be a 4-time Olympian, has numerous marksmanship accomplishments. Recently he won gold medals at the USA Shooting National Championships and the Pan American Games. He qualified for the 2012 Olympics by winning the Men's Three-Position Rifle match at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials.
