FAST Marines and Philippine troops conduct amphibious training during CARAT Philippines 2012

Lance Cpl. Kelsey Steggell, assigned to Fleet Anti-terrorism Security Team (FAST) Pacific, demonstrates troop advancement techniques to Philippine Coast Guard Special Forces sailors during a amphibious beach assault exercise for Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Philippines 2012. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the U.S. Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. The Marine Corps Security Force Regiment maintains FAST companies and deploys personnel to provide expeditionary antiterrorism and security forces in support of combatant commanders and to protect vital naval and national assets.
