NHLPA negotiators still see chance of deal

Even as National Hockey League commissioner Gary Bettman announced Monday that he'd cancelled another block of regular-season games through Dec. 30, members of the NHLPA who were at the bargaining table with the owners last week in New York remain of the opinion that the two sides aren't that far part and that a deal on a new CBA could be hammered out soon, bringing an end to the NHL lockout, which has entered its 13th week.
