A winter storm warning and tough travel conditions will greet you Monday morning. This long duration snow evemt will bring us 6-8 inches of snow, but that will be over a three day period.

Road crews should be able to keep ahead of the snow, making road conditions tolerable. Before this ends on Tuesday, we will add enough new snow to keep smiles on the faces of skiers and snowmobilers.

Once this slow moving storm passes, we will stay close to average in the temperature department. Thursday morning looks the coldest..close to zero.

What to Do with All That Snow?

Major U.S. cities have been smashed with feet of snow, and with bitterly cold temperatures preventing any widespread melting, where does all that road-blocking snow go? It's important to remember that it's not the actual snow that is the problem, but what's in the snow that has become a pollution nightmare in recent years.

Snow is not legally allowed to be dumped in rivers, lakes, ponds or any other body of water.
