The 21 draft proposals for public comment are organized in alphabetical order by topic area. Under each topic, you will find background information about the topic, a summary of the public comments FDA received about the topic, the considerations weighed by the Task Force in making the draft proposals, and the Task Force's reasoning for the proposal.

Not all these proposals will necessarily be implemented. Some may require changes in law or regulation; some may require substantial amounts of resources. Based on public input and an assessment of the feasibility of implementing the proposals, the Task Force will recommend specific proposals to Commissioner Hamburg for consideration.

The period for commenting on these draft proposals has closed.  You can still view these draft proposals as well as view the rating and view the comments that were received during the commenting period.
