The American Legion Boys State of Missouri announces 8 slots for military-connected youth living overseas.

Wings Over America Scholarship Foundation

Provides College Scholarships to dependent children and spouses of Navy personnel from the US Navy’s Aviation community; Officer and Enlisted, active duty, retired, honorably discharged or deceased. Applicants may be High School Seniors or already enrolled in college. Service member sponsor must have served in Naval Aviation Commands. Most awards are for one year, but the applicant can apply multiple years. We annually award over 45 scholarships – ranging from $2000-$10,000. WOASF also administers other aviation scholarships, so one application may enable you to apply for several scholarships. Visit www.wingsoveramerica.us for application information and deadlines.

A boarding school scholarship program for children of active duty military personnel

Program Overview:
In recognition of their service to the nation and in support of the unique demands and sacrifices of military personnel and their families, St. George’s school is seeking to provide up to four fully funded scholarships for children of active duty military personnel in the 2012-2013 school year.

Bernard Curtis Brown II Space Camp Scholarship

The Bernard Curtis Brown II Memorial Space Camp scholarship is funded by the MCEC. The scholarship covers full tuition to include:

•  Round trip transportation (from student’s home base to Space Camp)
•  Meals
•  Lodging
•  Program Materials

Frances Hesselbein Student Leadership Program

The Frances Hesselbein Student Leadership Program was established by the Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC) in 2006 to identify exemplary young people through their participation in the MCEC Student 2 Student (S2S) program.  The program was named for Mrs. Frances Hesselbein, in recognition of her dedication to the development of children and youth.   Mrs. Hesselbein is the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Leader to Leader Institute and the former CEO of the Girl Scouts of America.  She was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the United States highest civilian honor, in 1998.
