1/26/2011 - 26 January 2011 -- The Air Force Band of the Pacific- Hawaii presented the Air Force Achievement Award to SSgt Oscar Olive, USMC during a ceremony at MCB Hawaii- Kaneohe Bay. SSgt Olive recently served as a recording engineer on the upcoming Hana Hou CD, Wonderful Day. He was also instrumental in arranging the use of Marine Forces Pacific Band's recording hardware and software, enabling the project to stay "in- house." His extensive Pro-Tools skills and talents sped the entire tracking process immensely. All told, SSgt Olive saved the band of the Pacific- Hawaii $178,000 and 420 man hours over the course of 6 months. A truly remarkable joint service project!
