PRE-ADVANCED
LEADERS COURSE (PRE-ALC)
Pre-ALC (Phase I) is a mandatory prerequisite for attendance to
ALC (Phase II). It is a 60-day,
online course. The course is
designed similarly to online college courses and will guide you through skill
level two and three Paralegal NCO skills.
You will receive training on broad-scope office management, criminal law,
leadership, property loss investigations, military paralegal correspondence, and
legal assistance.
To enroll in pre-ALC you must meet the prerequisites listed
below. You will be automatically
enrolled based on your enrollment for ALC.
Your enrollment is verified through the ATRRS class roster. For exception to the enrollment
prerequisites, log into JAG University (JAGU) and submit a help desk ticket
justifying the exception to enrollment.

PREREQUISITES FOR ENROLLMENT FOR PRE-ALC (Phase
I):
a. Must have a
reserved or wait seat in ALC (Phase II).
b. Must be a graduate
of WLC.
c. Must be in the pay
grade of E5 through E7.
d. Must possess a
security clearance of at least Secret.

Support Package
Soldiers
scheduled to attend 27D ALC, Phase II are encouraged to review the following
Training Support Packages below. They cover the topics of Administrative
Separations, Claims, FBCB2, Process Law of War Violations, Professional
Responsibility, Promulgating Orders, Post-Trial, SROE, and Westlaw, each of
which will be covered during the course.
