Scientific Achievement Awards
FDA plays a pivotal role in translating today's scientific and technological breakthroughs into tomorrow's medical cures by supporting novel approaches to the development and evaluation of its regulated products.
The Agency's efforts to speed safe and effective new treatments to people in need would not be possible without a staff of highly skilled scientists, who have dedicated themselves to creating the tools, methods, assays, and standards that enable innovation.
The FDA Scientific Achievement Awards are given each year to recognize the efforts of Agency scientists who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of regulatory science.
Ten awards are given to both individuals and groups. All FDA scientists who have demonstrated exemplary performance in their assigned scientific duties are eligible. The individual or group is nominated for a completed body of work that was initiated and completed while the nominee was employed by FDA.
