| Trade Act of 2002 - Advance Electronic Information - 05/18/2006 U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) published the final Trade Act regulations in the Federal Register on December 5, 2003. The rules require advance transmission of electronic cargo information to CBP for both arriving and departing cargo and provide for various effective dates depending upon the mode of transportation. CBP has consolidated the implementation strategy of the 24-hour rule and the implementation strategy of the Trade Act. The guidance set forth below encompasses past and current 24-hour rule guidance as well as Trade Act guidance. | |
