Because you no longer show as an active duty member in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System, you may have to pay up front for your medications. But if you send a copy of your Transitional Care For Service-Related Conditions approval letter with your claim form (DD Form 2642) and pharmacy print out, you’ll be fully reimbursed your prescription costs. For information on filing stateside and overseas pharmacy claims, go to http://www.tricare.mil/mybenefit/home/Prescriptions/Claims Notes: The Transitional Care For Service-Related Conditions benefit only covers medications related to the qualifying condition. If you're near a military treatment facility, you may want to get your prescriptions filled there.
