FRC is part of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), the Federal Government agency responsible for records management guidance for the United States Government. NARA is also responsible for servicing the United States Government's archived Federal records and materials. The FRC provides Federal community with records services on a fully fee-for-service basis, charges are for actual space used for storage and servicing agency records. Interagency agreements are signed annually. Agency records are stored in facilities that comply with 36 CFR Part 1228, Subpart K: the Federal regulation that stipulates records management practices.
