About the Database
The NCJRS Abstracts Database contains summaries of and bibliographic information for more than 205,000 publications including: Federal, State, and local government reports; books; research reports; journal articles; and unpublished research. All of the publications listed in the Abstracts Database are available from the NCJRS Library through either the interlibrary loan program or the photocopy service. Additionally, many collection materials are available in electronic full text and links to online versions, when available, are provided within the Abstracts Database record. Twelve core periodicals are comprehensively abstracted, and many more periodicals are routinely examined. Subject areas include corrections, courts, drugs, law enforcement, juvenile justice, crime statistics, domestic preparedness, and victims. A collection statement summarizes the acquisitions plan for documents, most of which date from the 1960's to the present. The database is also available from ProQuest and EBSCO.
Opinions or points of view expressed in the documents are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the official position or policies of the U.S. Department of Justice.
