Topics discussed included NATO’s Individual Partnership and Cooperation Programme; military cooperation under the Mediterranean Dialogue; NATO’s role in the fight against terrorism; NATO-Morocco cooperation under the Science for Peace and Security Programme; and opportunities of cooperation in the area of crisis management and civil emergency planning.
During the visit, the group had the opportunity to meet, among others, with Mr. Gianfranco Incarnato, Deputy Permanent Representative of Italy on the North Atlantic Council, with Mr. Marc Abensour, Deputy Permanent Representative of France on the North Atlantic Council, with Mr. Alain Tellier, chief of the Political Section at the Joint Delegation of Canada, and with Mr. Nicola de Santis, Head of the Middle East and North Africa Section in NATO’s Political Affairs and Security Policy Division.
