Kentucky's First Veterans
This memorial was installed at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville on July 4, 2012. It recognizes soldiers of the Revolutionary War who received from the Continental Congress land in Christian County, Kentucky in payment for their military service. They settled the region, raised families and were buried there. They were Kentucky's first veterans.
