Thirty Soldiers from A Company, 2-147th Assault Helicopter Battalion, are scheduled to return to Minnesota today after a deployment to Kuwait.

"It is my distinct honor to command and serve with this great group of men and women who put service before self to help provide security to the region," said Army Captain Shannon D. Gregory, commander of A Company.

"The unit flew 600 missions with more than 4,400 passengers," said Gregory. "It was our job to fly senior leaders throughout Kuwait. Our maintenance section was outstanding as we had zero dropped missions due to unscheduled maintenance."

Members of the media are invited to greet the Soldiers at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport baggage claim area. For additional information, contact Minnesota National Guard Public Affairs Officer Army Major Kristen L. Auge at kristen.auge@us.army.mil or 651-268-8961.
